Is there any speed difference when wap tethering (wap.cingular) vs ISP tethering (isp.cingular) on EGDE with 8700c?

I have tried dial up tethering vs. Connection manager tethering on the 7130c and I can't see a difference.

I am not impressed with the speeds at all either way. Maybe Cingular tethering reports/advertises higher speeds then 56k, but 56k is at least consistent for browsing and e-mail. Sometimes the tethering in Cingular is painful.
