Default 8700c Will Not Boot, Red Slash Through Battery

Please Login to Remove!

8700c will not boot it has a battery with a whitebackground with a red slash through it, it will not go any further. Can anybody help me? I have changed batteries and still no luck

Does it show a "507"? If so, the handheld operating system has been lost.

There is no 507, simply just battery with a red slash and nothing else.

I had the same problem with my BB. You might try changing the battery. The guys at the cingular store say that when you have a bad battery the phone will have a white screen with a battery and a red slash through it. I chased down a battery replaced the battery on mine but unfortunately it did not solve the problem. I ended up getting a warranty exchange unit.

its usually a sign there is a hardware issue. just liek computer may beep when there is one.
