There are a few:

1. A poor man's solution is mapquest for PDA's at http://www.mapquest.com/pda ... Use your BlackBerry browser.

2. One of the best stuff I've seen is Handmark Express Maps at http://www.handmark.com ... I thnk this one is the best one.

3. Keep an eye on neat upcoming GPS stuff at http://www.redskymobile.com

I have a Fortuna Clip on GPS with bluetooth. Hopefully this will connect with http://www.redskymobile.com when they release it. Crossing my fingers.

Handmark Expressmaps only works for the US at the present. :(

Otherwise the program is excellent.

How did you get Mapquest working? I tried to save the link to AvantGo and it pulls up but only shows the MapQuest logo and legal text but the table with the directions are missing. I have a 7280. Thanks

Try using your WAP Browser, not the Internet Browser or BlackBerry Browsers.

I have a 7250 and a similar problem when i get to mapquest as described above. I went to the alternate site with the BB (wap.mgmaps.com) and got an error to install. So i downloaded it with the PC and tried using rapc to convert the jad file to a cod file to use javaloader to install. rapc wont process the file. Can some one please give me the complete rapc import syntax so that i can try and install mgmaps.jad. Thank you.

Everyone is talking about how good they are and how they got it to work on their BBs but no one is trying to help the few of us that are not being successful.

I get to the site, and i choose download then it gives me an option of downloading version 1.05(latest) or older versions 1.04, 1.03, or 1.02. I have tried all four versions and i get the same error. Invalid jar file error 903.

Now I have read in other sections about WAP browsers, Internet Browsers, and Blackberry browsers. Do we have all three, and if we do how do we change between them, maybe that will help me download. If we dont have all three how do you get the others I only show the Blackberry Internet Browser. I have a 7250 from Verizon and OS 4,0 Please help.

I was able to download the jar file to my 7290 by 1) changing the Content Mode in the browser to "WML only" and 2) pointing the browser to http://wap.mgmaps.com/mgmaps.jar. Don't forget to put the browser's Content Mode back to "WML & HTML."

You are ACES. It worked just as you said. Now to learn the lesson, what is the difference between the WML + HTML and just plain WML. Is this what people talk about WAP and Blackberry Internet Browsers? At any rate you are super and a million thanks.
