One of these days we will have a US provider release a blackberry connect device, this one looks cool, although screen looks a bit small.

Samsung phones are very good. This should be great for someone that wants a phone first, then an email device. Expect to see a Moto Razr V3 3G phone with BB connect. That will be suh-weeeet!!

not a samsung phone fan...

I owned one and I sold it after a week. This phone looks just like any other with the exception of the keyboard. But I would like to try it out to see what the expreience would be like for me and my PHAT Phingers.

The Samsung I had was very good, great signal and great batt life. I've actually had more probs with Moto phones than any other brand.

" no one is talking about the T719?"

...maybe because this is a Blackberry website?

wow is that right? i guess posting a phone that has suretype and blackberry connect in the "BlackBerry On Non-RIM Hardware" forum was a mistake... what happened dude.. couldn't find anything important to gripe about today?

Wow. What a thoroughly asinine post.

Did you mean to say that this is an RIM website (which it isn't, anyway)?

I agree ndirish,

Wouldn't expect that from a moderator. Especially in the "BlackBerry on Non-RIM Hardware" thread.

Does the T719 run Blackberry connect or something? Is that why you were asking about it? If it does not, then the discussion really doesn't fit here..... hence the title of this lounge.

Perhaps the thread should just be moved to the Off-Topic lounge.

Not only does this phone come with BB connect pre-loaded on it, it also has a Sure-type keyboard like the BB 7100's that Samsung had to get permission from RIM to use. It IS exactly what this section of this site is all about. As a matter of fact, it is the most unique device to come out in this category for quite some time. It is truly a blackberry "cell phone"

Interesting.....I have the 7100i and have no problem with the SureType. Would be nice if it was a flip, though. I've heard that Blackberry Connect devices are not as secure as true Blackberry devices (if on a BES using IT Policies). Things like not being able to force the password. I have no experience with BBConnect, though, just heard it from a RIM contact I have.

If a such a phone ever comes out on Verizon, I will definately try one out. I have always been partial to flip-phones because I generally like to carry my device in my pocket. I usually carry my 7130e in my pocket however, I have to keep it in the holster to keep the screen from getting all scratched up.

I had one for a month. It kept freezing, randomly rebooting and crashing. Sending messages took forever. Browsing and getting games on the thing was a nightmare.

I've had several samsung phones in the past all performed well, this is certainly something I will try when it comes out. Does anyone have any idea about a release date?
