Default Bluetooth Syncing Problem

Please Login to Remove!

I have had bluetooth sync working with Desktop Manager for the past week or two and it suddenly stopped working. When I go into BB Device Manager it shows it connected via Bluetooth and I can go into Connection Settings in Desktop Manager and it shows up in the connection window and I can successfully detect the device. However, in the main Desktop Manger window it still displays Disconnected so I can not sync with Outlook. I have tried re-pairing the device to no avail. Has anyone experienced this problem?

I am having the very same issue. The bluetooth sync worked on my desktop and I just got a new laptop. I am using the same dongle as on the desktop and just like you, I see the device but it still says "disconnected".

If anyone can help in this matter, it would be appreicated.

I've always found that a restart worked when things like the bluetooth dongle stopped working. For some reason you get other programs that get caught up and cause errors that stop other programs from working. Normally a restart of your computer will fix it. If not than just unplug and replug in your bluetooth dongle and or uninstall it and re-install it. That usually helps.

I get errors all the time if I don't disconnect it the right way before I close the BT link. It normally just takes a restart to get it back working right again.

We utilize BES 4.x for Exchange, so we never (rarely) connect the BB to our laptops.
