Does anyone know how to transfer SMS messages FROM the sim card TO the phone so that it will be included int the IPD backup file?

I've made sure that "keep messages on SIM card" is set to no.
And that's fine, but it still keeps those messages tagged as being on the sim card (even though when the sim card is removed, the messages are in fact still available (they're still listed as residing in the Simcard Inbox folder). Either way, those messages are NOT included in the IPD file and I can't back them up to my computer.

I've also tried saving the messages so that they get stored in the "Saved messages" area, but those are also NOT getting into the IPD file.

So to recap, I have txt messages on my SIM card. I'm trying to get them backed up into an IPD file so that I can then export them with ElcomSoft's Blackberry backup explorer. But I can't get the SIM card txt messages backed up into an IPD file.

So frusterating. ANY IDEAS?
