I’ve got an issue with gmail on my Bold 9650 with unread messages that are not in my inbox.

I set up my gmail account on the web to filter certain types of email (ie publicity) to bypass the inbox and move them straight to their own labels.
This works very well with gmail on my blackberry as the messages also bypass the inbox. However, the messages also display unread message alerts. The unread status is true as there are messages outside of the inbox that are unread, I just don’t know how to tell my Blackberry to just ignore all unread messages that are not in my inbox.

Anyone found a way to do that?

There does not seem to be a method to bypass this. The LED notification cannot be altered and I cannot find any options at RIM support to ignore the unread emails.

Thanks for researching this. I did some searching for a solution to this as well before posting but came up short. Just thought someone here had a clever workaround since I've only had this thing for about a week now and am still figuring things out.
