Default out of memory

I just recently got this phone and I updated it to version 5. Now it says that I'm almost out of memory. Even after I deleted a few of the apps that were installed by the update, my available application memory is only 4.4 megs and I've installed only 4 apps on my own that equal about 5 megs. What is using up the other 123.6 megs?

Version?

BTW, I was on .822 till yesterday, and for the last 3 weeks I have been having to reboot everyday to free memory. It started up at 21M, and then went to zero by evening. Removed GMaps, WSJOnline, etc. No luck.

Went to .900 yesterday, and am up at 30M, and staying there. Battery life seems to be better, too.
