Default Cannot sync my torch to Outlook 2010, Help!

Please Login to Remove!

Hello All,

Background: I "upgraded" to Office 2010 and now...

I cannot sync to Outlook 2010 at all. When I try to configure any sync settings I get:

"The operation terminated unexpectedly" after choosing Outlook and the program shuts down. . Maybe a profile problem? It will recognize my phone and do back ups. Another wierd thing it does is change the time zone to "Eniwetok" on my phone when I plug it in.

I'm on windows 7, Outlook 2010, BB Desktop software 6.0.0.43 and my torch is on 6.0.0.246.

I've deleted and reinstalled Desktop software over 5 times.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff

Please use the SEARCH feature. We have discussed this thoroughly several times over.

If you have a 32-bit version of Office 2010, then it will easily sync using the latest version of BB's Desktop Manager.

If it is the 64-bit version, then you will have to wait until Q1 of 2011 for a version of DM that supports it.

Dubdub,

Thanks for the reply however, I searched pretty thoroughly and didn't find a solution and had hoped that others could help.

I have the 32 bit version of Office and have not found it to sync easily. If you could direct me to the thread(s) that pertain to my situation, I will go from there.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hit the SEARCH link above and type in "Office 2010".

That should get you started with Office 2010.

If you have the 32-bit version of Office, are you running it on a 32-bit OS install?

Did you delete the current DM that you have and install a clean copy?

Try a battery pull on the BB?

Connecting via HUB?

I have the 32 bit version of office and am running in 32 bit mode. I've downloaded numerous clean copies of the latest DM. Numerous battery pulls. No hub.

I just uninstalled Office 2010 (had 2007 in the background) as everything syncs again.

Although, it still rolls the time back on my phone 5 hours everythime I sync even though my computer shows the correct time.

Ideas on that?
