i have a blackberry storm 9530 and it will not power up...only a red LED light blinks continuously...the computer recognizes it but the BM wont because it wont boot up...if the problem is the OS ...how do i fix it when the device isnt booting up?
iv tried everything
it died after the battery leaked and wont turn on after that...the battery didnt leak much though..
bought a new sync cable but the old one works...i dont know if its "nuked" because nothing will power up...i didnt drop it or water damaged or anything..leaking batter worked until i noticed it was leaking then changed it and now it wont do anything but blink that red light...
What you are describing doesn't sound very good :(. You are with Verizon. My experience has been that if you have warranty coverage they do a great job with warrantied phones. is that an option?
im not with virizon im with t mobile now ...i dont know what happend the battery was bad (but was still working)...then i changed it...when i changed it it wouldnt work anymore...iv tired restoring it..i cant because it has to be booted to restore...the indicator light blinks red but nothing happens...the backlight of the screen is completely unresponsive...i tried charging it overnight on the computer with the battery in it...nothing...if it is an OS problem..how do i fix it without booting?...or is that impossible...i just ordered a wall charger and a new sync cable ...though im very simplistic ..
hmm no i dont think it damaged it that severely the battery just leaked but a bit ...i took it to a guy he said the port on the phone where u plug the battery is damaged..and the only way to fix it is to replace the whole mother board for $80...im pretty good with phones u think ill have any problems replacing it myself?...and after i replace it...will i need to add software or anything? or will it be ready to use?
do you also recommend any place to buy the motherboard from?
Fixed: turns out my charging dock is currupt and only way to fix it is to change whole motherboard ... I changed it myself.. I only did it because I got the phone for free
I don't suggest you change the motherboard on the phone unless you got it real cheap because the whole phone is not that much more than the motherboard
