looking for a usenet newsgroup (NNTP) reader for my Cingular BB 8700c.

anyone know of one? Ive searched various places, but came up with nothing.

You can access newgroups through Google. For example, I use http://groups-beta.google.com/group/...deo.dvd.titles to access the rec.video.dvd.titles newsgroup. I haven't tried posting this way from a BlackBerry, but this method works well on my 7290 for reading the posts.

i was hoping for more of an actual client rather than navigating thru a browser based menu... plus google does not carry many vendor specific groups

I use NewsClip from Virtual Reach, and like it very much.

looks like newsclip is for RSS feeds only and not NNTP usenet groups. :( darn

Sorry! I must have misread your post. (I haven't used usenet groups in so long, I had forgotten about them.)

I'm not aware of any newsgroup clients. Maybe there's a generic Java program out there that would work.
