Default upgrading firmware

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have the blackberry 8900 running on 4.6.1.114. I dont have my USB cable so is there any way to update the phone? ive tried the one (wireless upgrade) in the advanced menu and it says there are no updates available. I have a laptop with bluetooth so i think i could access the blackberry, but i do not have the usb cable.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

You can get a micro to usb cable at Radio shack, Best buy... It will be worth the investment for your back-ups too.

BTW: Battery life on OS .231 is much better than .114.

It depends on what you do with your device. 5.0 is better but I just talk & email with mine so I have never bothered with it.

Well... uhh lol

I Talk, email, text, pic and video msg quite a bit :P
I also use data alot (surfing) and i tend to use gmaps and berry torch and IM applications. Sometimes a few games but thats about it

Im assuming thats alot of power consumption compared to yours lol. I dont have many problems with my current OS considering i charge it quite frequently. But im worried about my phone. When i charge it, the clock keeps flickering on and off :S. Which is why i want to do the upgrade. Thers no way to do it via bluetooth? wifi? memory card? (NO USB, just the micro sd card)
