Default SMS text not clearing from Today text screen

Please Login to Remove!

A few days ago I sent my friend a SMS text message and till now it still remains in the list for Today text. Shouldn't it only show new text messages RECEIVED and clear itself after they have been read? I've tried a battery pull, but that doesn't clear it from the Today text listing. If I delete the message it no longer shows, but if I restore the messages from a backup it pops back up on the list again. Anyone know why this is happening?

that's very interesting.
never heard of that before...
but why don't you just delete it and leave it deleted?

Wirelessly posted

I suppose I can do that, but I was just curious as to why this was happening.

Chances are the message was never received. Doing a restore from backup will put it back.

See that's the weird thing... the message was received on the other end, as the recipient replied. Restoring from backup would put the message back, but only from that backup file. If I remove it now and backup, it no longer will be, which kinda irks me.
