Default Media manager does not work!!!

Please Login to Remove!

Ever since I installed the Blackberry desktop manager, I have never been able to use the media manger portion of it. When I click on "Media Manager" on the screen, both media sync and media manager come up, but the "start" button and the whole left half of the screen where the media manager is, is grayed out, so I can not click on it.

Even when I click on the "media sync" on the right side of the screen, it takes me to a page where it scans my computer for media files, but I do not see any folders or anything! It just shows that it scanned my computer for media files and thats it!

Can someone please help me figure this out! I would like to be able to manage my media on my desktop!

Thank you!

Roxio sucks. Try alternative programs as you'll just waste time trying to get it working. It's not even that good when it does work.

RealPlayer SP is a decent alternative since it has a converter and can do things like convert a CD into the right format. It also converts video and will download videos from youtube and other sources.

Otherwise, just enabling mass storage mode on the BB and copying media to the SD card manually works fine.

This software is crap. I have installed and uninstalled it several times. Bottom line, it doesn't work. I recently switched to a BB from a Palm and the Palm Desktop sofeware was a breeze compared to this garbage.

There is no need for it anyway. Just enable mass storage mode in your device's media card/memory options and just plug the device in to the pc and the card will show up like a thumb drive. Then just drag and drop your files onto the card into whatever folder you want.

I don't even install Media Manager. The Media Manager is not even close to the same thing as Palm Desktop. Palm Desktop was for syncing device data with your PC. The BB syncs with Outlook just fine.
