What BB spyware can log besides calls and sms?
Please Login to Remove!
I did some research on BB spyware that is available out there and think it can only log your call history and sms. How about other web activities? Can it log what I am doing on web based apps like Twitter or Facebook? Does it keep log of my web history? If I have Twitter app installed will this software spy on my Twitter activity (direct messages in particular)? Please help, I know I have some software installed and can't delete it (I promised to keep it on per request) but want to go around it and still use my device for private communication. Thank you very much!
P.S. I dont know which software is installed on my phone

Welcome to the forums.
In all honesty, your post sounds very sketchy. You know spyware is on your device and you promised to keep this on your device? You want us to tell you what the application can see or log, but yet don't know what application it is. How are we to know what it logs without knowing what it is?
Good luck finding answers.

Not trying to sound sketchy, just dont want to describe the complicated situation. Yes, I permitted my spouse to put spyware on my blackberry because i simply couldnt say no. And I wonder what possibly can it track. I still would like to send private messages the spyware can not track. Sorry for the confusion.

AFAIK, there's no successful spyware application for CDMA BlackBerry devices (Sprint, Verizon, etc). If you were able to supply is with the application name, it would help us in determining if this is at all possible on your device, and if so, what it logs.

Thank you. I looked on what's available on the market and one of them is spy mobile. They say it's BB compatible. Hearing that there is no spy app out there is like music to my ears, but I am refraining from sms now still. I wonder if Twitter is safe and can not be tracked. How do I find out which spyware I have installed? Thanks again

Go to Options > Advanced Options > Applications (may be just Options > Applications on the Tour). See what's listed there and post it here.

Dear Confusedbb,
Yes, you are confused, and sketchy. And here comes the lecture:
Quit lying to your wife. If you have secrets from her, why are you married to her? Your relationship is less important than your "private" communications?
Obviously, you could have said "no" to her and been honest with her up front rather than now trying this very very complicated way of continuing to live dishonestly.
It will catch up with you. Trust me, it will.
This a BlackBerry forum, not a place to get advice about deception. If you want to discuss how to deceive your wife in this forum, you will also get these lectures. It's just a price of admission here for persons with your problems.

I was able to find Mobile Spy which claims to run on a Tour.
Mobile Spy BlackBerry Spy Software Now Available | BlackBerry Spy News | Spyphone Guy|Spy Phone Reviews|Spy Phone News
That says it only tracks phone calls and SMS, as well as gives your GPS coordinates.
It also says it shows no traces of being installed on the device. I find that hard to believe.
If it doesn't show in the Applications screen, press the menu key and select Show Modules and list what shows there. I would imagine it would be listed in there if it were installed.

Yep. What ever happened to marriage/relationships based on trust, honesty, and open communication? Why do people come here asking for help so they can continue to be unfaithful, or come here asking for help to spy on their significant other? It's a sad, sad world we live in, and threads like these only prove it is getting worse.

I wonder if he knows Spring will allow GPS tracking to the account owner. Want to bet his wife owns the account.

Enough with the lectures. Either offer this person Blackberry advice or move on. Leave the judging to someone more qualified.

Spyware and getting around "forgotten" passwords are two very touchy subjects around here. All too often a new user comes along with a sob story, and very few details, alleging one thing while actually looking for info on another. So when somebody asks "who can be spying on me and how?", we often think it really means "how can I spy on someone?". We wouldn't be suspicious if we didn't catch user after user in lies, some even admitting the truth after they couldn't answer pointed questions. So if confusedbb doesn't want to answer questions about the specifics of his situation (which would make any advice more accurate), the least he should expect is some off-topic lecturing. Because I, for one, ain't buying.

JSanders thank you for the lecture. It's easy to judge people. Sometimes covering something is simply the way to protect someone. I am a woman and my husband is very technology savvy (I am not) - hence are my questions.
Not going to get into any details - sorry. I just need my keep privacy under the circumstances.
jsconyers this is the first program i found in google by typing "cell phones monitoring software" or something in this nature. I would be happy to know that it can only track sms and calls. I would be totally fine with Twitter DMs.
I couldn't find anything installed on my device - i dont have many apps installed, just Facebook and Twitter.
Thank you for all the advice.

I kept perusing the forum threads and searchd online. Looks like Twitter app is pretty safe. Any spyware can only monitor sms, calls and email.
Sort of happy now

Confusedbb, (and oasissux, for that matter):
Guess what? You're not the first to come here with this question, and I am sure you won't be the last. I don't care for the details, either. It's your spouse or your counselor who needs to hear that.
We've had both sides in here -- husband's trying to guess the spouse's password, "I know s/he bugged my BlackBerry," etc.
It's still a trust issue, and one of you can't be trusted. Your help will not be found in twittering.
Like I said, it's the price you pay for asking those questions in this forum. It's a public forum, expect comments.
Next week someone else's spouse (yours?) will be in here tying to find out how to monitor/capture twitter feeds or whatever, and they'll get the same lecture from someone else.
