Default New phone assistance

Please Login to Remove!

I am currently a happy Curve user, but it is coming to the end of its life and it is time to retire it. My provider contract is over so I can use ATT or Verizon (no others). I am also a happy Mac user who likes the ease of the Mac OSX.

As a regular user of BBForums I was looking to fellow BB users for assistance. I am considering one of the following in no specific order:
Bold 9700, Storm2, Bold 9000, or iPhone.

My main uses of the phone are:
  1. Making calls (it is a phone)
  2. email/text/bbm
  3. internet search (google maps, facebook, etc.)
  4. music player
  5. Would like Skype capability

What would you folks suggest? I know this opens a huge debate but concise answers would be appreciated.

Thanks!

There is NO SKYPE capability for the BB and I doubt if there will be any time soon.

You are really the only one who can decide on a new device. No way to give you a concise response.

My advice is to pick which carrier you wish to use. Make sure you have connectivity where you will use the device, where you live, work, travel and play.

Then go to the corporate phone store for that carrier and "play" with each device you are considering. All BBs will do 1 through 3 and probably 4, especially with an SD card. So it really boils down to which model you like the best.

As always, select the carrier first.

The rest is pretty much a subjective decision making process that you'll have to sort out yourself based on needs and preferences.

Oh, and it should be obvious but the iPhone won't have BBM capabilities that you mention in #2.
