I upgraded my 8900 to 5.0.0.314 today but can no longer get BBM 5.0 to show up. I've tried reinstalling off app world. It says it installed but doesn't show up anywhere. I tried re-installing off back up but it was grayed out.

I plugged in the phone, ran uploader and it installed 4.7. I then restored everything from back up. Works fine. Then, I went back to app world and downloaded 5.0 and it asked if I wanted to overwrite 4.7. Clicked yes, everything was erased. Started over again with 4.7, everything works again.

Am I stuck on 4.7? Is there a fix?

Delete the current BBM you have.

REboot the device with a powered on battery pull.

Then using your browser, go to BlackBerry Messenger and download and install BBM5 again.

After installed, check your downloads folder first for the app, or instant messaging folder.
