Default get messages OUT of "phone memory" ?

Please Login to Remove!

When I purchased my 9530 Storm I was assured that I could access messages on the device via a USB hookup to my PC. That is not the case because BB developers, in their myopic conception, did not program any other option than to have messages embedded in 'phone memory' and thus innaccessible to an owner/user except via the device interface.
:
I am seeking info from anyone who has a solution to this problem. I am certain that this is a common issue. If any of you know of a good downloadable application to install ON the Storm to remedy this a link would be great to know. I haven't found any, but then as a BB newbie, maybe I just don't know what keywords to search on.
:
PLEASE don't tell me the "Manager" can save this stuff. That's no good because a user can not open and browse a backup file to randomly extract usable data.

THANKS!

Easiest way is to copy and paste the body of the message as an attachment in an e-mail to yourself. Dowload the attachment to whatever folder you need to keep the messages organized.

Also, my apologies if I posted thread in wrong place- I just signed up and couldn't see how to start a thread elsewhere.

Its the big blue button that says NEW THREAD on it, in the top left hand corner of each forum.

Also, there is a program that can extract usable data from ipd backup files.
And no there isnt a program to do what you want to do.

have a nice day.
