Default Stop displaying Facebook calendar?

Please Login to Remove!

So, I have Google Sync to coordinate between my phone and Google calendars, but I also have Facebook.

When I go into my calendar on my phone, it doubles up a lot of my entries, because its displaying the Device Default and Facebook calendar. Default is in blue, Facebook is in green. When I add a new entry to the phone, it adds it in green (to the Facebook calendar). How can I turn that off?

Whats weird is I barely use Facebook (on the computer or the phone), let alone any calendar function.

when you create a new entry it will have SEND USING: and then the calendar
just change that from facebook to whatever calendar you want.

Where do you find that? I tried to create a test entry, but I don't see a "Send Using" field anywhere.

BTW, also, I want to stop sending to the Facebook calendar, but I also want to permanently stop it from displaying too. Right now I can go to "Select Calendar" and select "Device Default" manually, but it always switches back to "Show all".

delete the CICAL for facebook.

open up the facebook app, menu - options - untick the calendar option.

It was already un-ticked (but I double checked, just to be sure). I made sure to turn it off during the setup process for Facebook.

And if the first part of your msg didn't relate to the same thing, I don't know what it meant.

Im not familiar with the 8330, so I don't know if this is the same place.

options - advanced - service book - find FACEBOOK [CICAL] entry and menu - delete.

I've had the same problem and I deleted the service book but it still shows up. One thing I've found that remedies the issue for a little bit go to your calendar and go to Options > highlight Facebook > type R - S - E - T > Click Yes.

That'll clear you calendar of Facebook events for a few weeks and yea, they'll come back, but you can do the same process again.

This got the Facebook calendar to quit annoying me:

1. In the Facebook app, make sure your Calendar option is unchecked.
2. Delete the Facebook CICAL (Advanced Options, Service Book).
3. Soft Reset.
4. Make sure your default calendar is your GMail calendar (Advanced Options, Default Services).

FB calendar entries should no longer be showing by default.

Is there any way to stop the Curve from "showing all calendars"? I only want to see my Outlook calendar?

Typing R-S-E-T or deleting the Facebook CICAL is not a permanent solution, you'd have to do it again and again every few days coz the FB calendar will keep on popping up on your BB calendar. I'm just disappointed that there's no solution except deleting FB apps completely from BB
