Default 8330 automatic key lock

Please Login to Remove!

hey just wondering if there was a way to set an auto lock of the keys on the curve. for example i dont press any buttons for 30 seconds or 1 minute, then the keyboard locks. i would then have to press the * and then the green call button to unlock it.

i know u can press the standby key on the top. ive been doing that forever but just wondering if there was something else. for some reason im almost positive that i did this on my prior curve. for the life of me on this current one i cant figure out how to do it.

thanx in advance for your help guys.

Options/security/general options

I'm not sure if you can set w/o a password, but you can set for different time intervals such as 1 min, 5 min, etc. I have also set one of my side keys to activate the lock.

Yea I'm thinking about using the lock feature to where I have to enter the password. I'm thinking about using just a really short password...well unless there is actually a password character minimum.

If you "enable" password, there's a 4 character min, but if you choose "disabled" then * and "green button" will unlock

Just make sure you make regular backups. If you ever forget the password and enter the incorrect one 10 times, all of your data will be wiped.

Definitely do this whether you're using the auto lock or not.
