First (and only) place to get free unlock codes is to contact the original carrier for the BlackBerry.

Otherwise, pay one of the commercial unlockers (I've used HorizonWirelessOnline.Com) to get the code to you.

Unlocking a mobile doesn't matter. You can unlock your mobile from the site named Mobile Unlock Solutions - The Ultimate Website For Mobile Phone Unlocking & also get the instructions from the same site & unlock it safely.

I've unlocked many ATT phones simply by calling and asking for the code. No hassles or questions, just fast service. They will also give you the directions for how to unlock the device. Just a thought if it's ATT branded.

Which is fine if you have an account with the carrier, and the phone is one of theirs, right?

Not that the original poster is with Airtel.
