Default calendar not completely in sync

Please Login to Remove!

we have a BB user that his calendar won't completely sync. there are some appointments in outlook that dont show on his blackberry and vice versa. As he comes across them, if he opens them and resaves them they will sync. Unfortunately he has lost faith in the device and he unfortunately is the owner of our company. i can't figure out how to force a 2 way sync without losing any appointments.

Bit more info would be great.

Is this on a BES?
What version of Outlook?
Anyone having this issue?

Default Me too! (for syncing with two PCs)

I may start a new thread on this because I have same issue but using/syncing between two PCs.

I do not use BES.
Outlook is Outlook 2003, work is SP3, home I am not sure

I have been away from work the past two days. In that time, I have updated two (2) calendar items at my PC at home - both items are at my work PC as well.

Item one: I moved the date from Wed to Thurs, and added a note - done from home PC
Item two: I changed the description of the meeting, and shortened appt from 3 hrs to two hrs - done from home PC

Both items sync OK with my BB

Upon coming to work this morning, neither sync'd to my work PC. I finally did the following:

Item one: I deleted from Desktop Outlook, opened in BB put a space in the meeting description saved.
Item two: Opened on BB, put a space in the meeting description saved.

Upon resyncing, here is what happened

Item one: Sync Mgr noticed conflict of deleting from PC and changed in BB. I chose to copy item to PC. This results in syncing correctly to PC
Item two: Sync'd to PC correctly.

Something is NOT right. The sync process did NOT recognize these two items that changed until I manually intervened (updating on the BB).

HELP

I have seen this a few times before (where sync did not sync a Calendar event/mtg correctly) in the past three months or so I owned my BB - but this is the first time I decided to actually test out the fix.

Hmm, Mailbox corruption maybe? I run in a Domino setting so I'm not too familiar with Exchange.. I'd give a should over to the BES Admin Corner.. PM a mod see if they can get your thread moved.

Winger I would create a new thread, thread hijacking is not recommended.

This is a typical case of event corruption, it does happen from time to time and can easily be resolved. I've seen it with our wireless sync customers....feel free to PM me and we can get you setup for a test sync and then pulled a detailed log to see if we can help...=)

Finally got my hands on his blackberry, turns out he has 2 calendars. The default one he was putting appointments on does not sync with outlook, the other works fine. Now i need to figure out how/why he has two calendars, how to sync those two and then remove one.

I'll bet he is on OS 4.5 and has a personal email account that is checked in addition to the BPS account.

I deleted the Desktop[cical] and resent service books and they both reappeared again. there was only one cical service book listed, when I deleted it, it removed both calendars. I upgraded his phone from 4.3 to 4.5 and either that or the reactivation to the bes server cleared up the calendar issue. He is now back to one calendar.
