I don't understand the point of reconciling IT policies if the bes doesn't support a "combination" policy of what was assigned.

Example (in order of priority):
WIFI Policy - contains enterprise WLAN settings.
Phone Policy - Explicitly allows phone use
No Phone Policy - Contains Phone restriction
No Password policy - allows no password
Password policy - contains password restrictions.

If I assign a group for every policy, and add a user to say Wifi and No Phone group, he will ONLY get the WIFI policy because its the top of the list.

The only 'reconciliation' that the BES does is simply look @ the top policy and assign it. The way it *should* work (IMO) is similar to GPO policies in Windows. Assign various GPO to various groups, which then combine based on group membership, and if THE SAME FIELDS conflict, priority should take over.

You still need to create ALL the various policy combinations that you may have, and the only 'new' thing that BES5 does is simply pick the top one to assign it to the device.
