While the public beta of SMS Viewer goes on, we have (in the meantime) written StopTilt - an app that can stop the automatic rotation of screen into landscape and portrait mode on BlackBerry Storm!

You can choose when and which app to disable auto rotation. You can also re-enable the auto rotation for an app when you are done. The best part is you can have separate orientation for different apps and it will remember your last used orientation to serve you better

I would like to invite Storm users to try it out. You can install it either from our website www.getempower.com or from any participating MobiHand store.

We are also doing a promo currently where the app is available at a discounted price of $2.99 only (till this weekend May 22nd)

Dear All,
Please upgrade your StopTilt to the latest version 2.0.8. In this version we have removed the popup notification that said 'Portrait mode locked' or 'Landscape mode locked'. While this is good for a first time user, they do not want to see the notification everytime they open an app. So now on, StopTilt will do the magic silently

Apart from the feature enhancement above, there is also a critical update in the code internally.

So all users of StopTilt, please do upgrade your copies to the latest version 2.0.8 available at www.getempower.com or any MobiHand store.

Great app; especially for those w/horizontal pouches...

Using the latest version (2.0.0.14) but I'm still having to "reset" after power-up in the morning. To reset, I toggle the menu selection to enable then back to disable and then it works fine.

Dear All,
Good news! StopTilt has a new upgrade. The latest release implements persistence across device power-down. This was an outstanding issue as reported in the posts above and has now been fixed.

So now, StopTilt not only saves settings across device reset but also across device power down.
