I'm an engineer and been designing and manufacturing Wifi equipment for about 10 years. I'm not new to wireless comm but I am new to the BB. I just bought a 8830 world phone. I see that is doesn't have a lot of on board memory. Has anyone tried to replace the on board memory with a bigger memory IC? Hmmm.... I guess I should ask the experts if this is even possible. I'm a hacker and I'm willing to experiment on my 8830 if it's even possible. I'd appreciate some feedback on replacing the memory. If it's possible, I'll do the swap and post pics. Thanks.

It's not possible, and the main reason it will never be possible is that they opening a device's housing compromises its security.
