Default A Volume and MMS question using 4.6.1.206

Please Login to Remove!

This is the only OS version that I have used on my new 8900. Has anyone else noticed that the ringer volume (even at low) is very loud? I would love to use the ringers that I love using (Motorola's Classic and Nokia Ringers), but they are VERY loud. Is this an OS version thing? If so, is there a tweak for me to lower the ringer volume?

Also, I have noticed that I cannot send MMS's when I am in UMA. Is this typical with this software version?

Thanks in advance everyone...

EDIT: Also, I just installed Google Maps 3.0.2 and I cannot seem to find the icon launcher. Anyone know where it went? (Yes, I clicked on Show All and I just all my folders)

Thanks again...

Is Google Maps in the Downloads folder? If not, try uninstalling it and reinstalling it again after a battery pull.

The volume thing has been an issue for a while now on past OS's as well. As for the MMS I have noticed that since I used the phone out of the box with the factory T-Mobile software. Sometimes I also notice that even though it shows a red X, the message actually goes through. I don't know what the deal is.

Does anyone know if there is an app for lowering the volume? I cannot use the Nokia Ringers that I like because they are now way too loud.

You could use Audacity for the computer and load the sound file in there and adjust the volume and put it back on your phone. Audacity is free and a sweet program, but that is also kind of a pain... But it's an option I guess.

I actually tried already using Cakewalk Pro. I lowered the volumed down to 25%. Man it's still loud. I guess I could try lowering it more.
