Default Do I get the free Verizon 8130 Pearl now?

Please Login to Remove!

So, based on the many posts regarding issues with the 8130 Pearl in the past, is it safe to get the newest 8130 with Verizon?

I'm used to using an 8703e for the past few years. Would be cool to get something new, especially with the video features.

Any comments?

George

What issues are you referring to?

Have you used suretype before? It may take some time to get used to.

I just got mine a little over a week ago.

It did freeze on me when texting....I downloaded the latest software version from here and it has ran GREAT! I have not froze since installing the upgraded OS

I would do it.

I does take some getting used to with the Sure Type typing.

i've had my 8130 for about 1.5 years. i don't see changing to another bb anytime soon. I like the size & the sure type. the keys are so much bigger & easier to use than the full qwerty keys. I'd say, go get it dawg!

I love my 8130. Just keep your call logs and inbox clean, do a battery pull every few weeks and you'll be fine.

I have to confess though, i'll probably grab a 9630 when they come out... unless they upgrade the inards of the pearl to something other than an ugly flip.
