hi guys i haven a problem my 8100 track ball wont move downwards it goes side to side and up but not down is their somthing i can do with it//////cartoon54351

Turn the device off, press firmly on the trackball and roll it down, repeat this step as much as needed. Most likely there's debris blocking it from rolling in that direction. This should help dislodge it.

i tried doing that but it doesnt work ...the little clicks that u feel at the tip of your finger when u roll the ball i dont feel it when trying to roll down only when going side or up

You could try to remove the trackball and clean it. Do a search of the forums for trackball disassembly. It is a fairly easy and painless process.

Or just buy a new one from PdaParts.com. $15, but you can find it cheaper. But, I like them, as I have never had any problems with them.
