Question Use Microsoft Web-Based Outlook on Storm?

Please Login to Remove!

I have not had my company activate the enterprise server to get my corporate email b/c I can't download any apps after they do that for security purposes. I do have the ability to get my email through Microsoft Web-Based Outlook. But the frames is not supported on the bberry browser and while I can sometimes see my messages, it's not easy to click through and reply. In fact, can't at all most of the time. A colleague has the iPhone and she was able to get her emails easily through it. Anyone know what settings I need to fix in order to get mine, too?

BBerry novice here, so please advise the most non-technical terms.

If you have the personal BB Internet Services (BIS) plan, you can try to set up your email that way - IF your company allows POP3 or IMAP access, Since you can get it OWA, most likely you can get it via BIS. Check your user guide and/or our FAQ.

jennapet, as long as your company OWA does not use MS ISA (Microsoft Internet Server Accelerator), you can integrate your BIS account with your Outlook mailbox through OWA.

You just need to go to the BIS website to set it up. For Verizon, the BIS URL is:

BlackBerry Internet Service

Login there (or choose Create New Account, if you haven't before), choose Setup An Account, leave the password blank, and it will take you to a dialog where you can choose to manually setup your account. Choose the option for work email address, then choose the option to integrate with OWA.

Once you get it all setup right, you won't have to use your BB browser to access your work email. Instead, it will show up in your BB Messages Inbox.

ps. If that doesn't explain it well enough, search on these forums for "outlook web access" to find more info.

you may or may not like how owa email operates via bis, I'd give it a try and if you aren't happy with it I believe there is a mobile version of OWA.

That would be OMA .. it's usually mobile.yourcomany.com your email team should be able to provide the exact URL. Not OMA is text based only.

Curious what apps you feel are worth by passing the features of BES. I manage a large number of devices and most apps that I find have value I index and will push to users as requested. Admins are users too
