Default OS v4 on 6710

Please Login to Remove!

I just now got a T-mobile 6710 off of ebay. It has OS 3.6.0.51 installed on it. I was hoping some members here could help me decided if I should upgrade to OS 4.0.

I got the blackberry because I was tired of having two devices to carry around, my PDA and phone. I don't have a data plan so I don't use email or web browsing. I might in the future, but not now. I do think I would like the new features in 4.0 for the phone and PDA functions.

My main concern is that my old 6710 will be slow with the new OS, or that I will loose functionallity What has your experience been. Thanks

If you can hold off longer than 15min maybe you'll get the answer your looking for? Some carriers did release OS 4.0.0.272 compatibility for the 6710 16MB model Rogers Wireless was one of them. As a whole I think 3.7.1.xx was as good as it gets for the 6710 8MB and 16MB model from most carriers.
