Hello all and I am still pretty new to Storm and I keep seein all these post about people and the software updates but when i check for updates there are none...are these unreleased or unofficial? i am using v4.7.0.75 plat 4.0.0.94...

I would recommend staying away from the Betas until you become experienced with your blackberry. They can be a little tricky at times.

Ok so are you saying these updates are Betas? As in unofficial releases of RIM? If so I will wait to the legit ones come out as to I cant risk destroying my phone lol

You are correct, they are unofficial releases. The current release for Verizon is .75 ... We all hope that Verizon will release a new and improved version in the near future, in fact rumor appears to indicate something coming soon. Again though, that's just a rumor.

For a new user it's wise to avoid betas (that may be true for an old user too ). The version you have is current. It was the .65 Verizon version that came with the first few weeks of phones that stunk up the place.

While at the VZW store I was told that rumors are leaking from RIM of a mid February OS update for the Storm. My tech cautioned me that this was only rumor but he feels it is substantially likely due to substantial complaints with regard to the phone's operation.
