Default Syncing contacts

Please Login to Remove!

Sorry if this is a repost or anything, but i didn't really have the time to sift through 23 pages of threads.

I was just wondering how I can sync my contacts from my pc to my Blackberry Storm. I haven't received it yet so I was hoping to get this done while i'm waiting for it to come in the mail.

I'm a new BB user but excited to start using one. I'm currently running Windows XP and have the Blackberry Desktop Manager software.

Thanks everyone

What software do you use to manage your contacts?

Currently I do not use anything. I was planning on just putting all my contacts from my current phone onto my computer, by hand, and then when my blackberry gets here just transferring.

So what do I need to put my contacts into and how do i transfer them?

Alright perfect. Now just one other question: I'm currently using Thunderbird on my PC. Can I continue to use this and just have the e-mail also be sent to my blackberry during the day when I'm not at my computer?

If I understand your question... I don't think there's any way to have it only send email to your phone "some of the day"... I know I'd like that option at work, if I'm at my desk I don't really need my BB to get my work email. Heck, it's got a GPS, so I should be able to say "Don't deliver email to my device when I'm at my desk..."

What I actually meant was will i be able to get copies of emails on both my BB and also onto my computer to have them there. Basically will my BB override my thunderbird and not allow me to get emails on my computer later on when I get home

It won't override, you will get your email on your Blackberry and your PC.

1) You should look into Google Sync to sync your contacts with your Gmail Contacts (if you use Gmail).

2) If you set up your email accounts to work through IMAP you can have Thunderbird running on your home computer and still get email on your BB and you wont miss any emails on either the BB or your PC.
