Default Need latest info T-Mobile UMA charges

Please Login to Remove!

Hello

I've heard conflicting information regarding how T-Mobile WIFI UMA calls are accounted for (or not), and perhaps they've even changed how those calls are handled recently. Can someone who really knows, please answer and indicate how the following calls are treated (eg. free, using minutes, long-distance rate/roaming, etc). This would be much appreciated!

Domestic to domestic UMA calls
Domestic to overseas UMA calls
Overseas to overseas UMA calls
Overseas to domestic UMA calls

...and how having H@H affects this.

Thanks very much.

Wirelessly posted (8320 Titanium)

Any calls using UMA go over your wifi networks internet connection instead of a cell tower. They are billed as a regular call.

Dom - Dom = minutes used, no roaming

Dom - Int = minutes used, int rates will apply

I'm sure that int - int will cost minutes and int rates, but not certain. Edit - it will be treated as Dom - Int

Int - Dom = will act as a dom-dom call, just minutes used

The only difference with the H@H plan is that while using UMA (connected to a wifi network) your minutes are free and not deducted from your plans pool of minutes.

When the bb is on uma, it acts as if it is in the home country (US for me)

Hope that helps
