Default USB to computer issue.

Please Login to Remove!

I am having problems with my usb connection to my computer. It is charging the phone but will not recognize the device memory or the media card. As well, Desktop manager will not recognize my phone either. I have tried on 2 seperate computers and the same issue.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What OS? What PC OS? What version of Office? What version of DM?

Is there a specific error message? Do you have USB as the default connection?

The OS is .90. PC OS is XP on one and Windows 7 on the other. Office 2007 and DM is 4.7.

there is no error message it just won't read the phone at all, but it still charges it. USB is set as the default connection for the phone to computer.

Are you using a hub, or plugging your USB directly into your computer?

directly into the computer. I have a feeling it may be the cable. And well that sucks as you can't easily buy them around here.

It is all fixed now.

All I did was with the phone plugged into the computer via USB was took the back cover off and presto it worked. Very strange but could have something to do with the contact points for the back cover.

I have the same issue...

If I take the phone and hook it directly via USB into my WinXP laptop, it can see the phone, but I can't access the memory card....

any suggestions would be appreciated.

i can also see my phone, can even see my memory card but do not have access to my folders like i did with my Curve or my Pearl. I can see my music folder and that is all. I do not see my pictures, ringtones or videos without going through roxio.
