While talking to several different people who are using different carriers, all of them tell me they hear an echo While talking to me.
Of course when I call Nextel/Sprint customer service, all they can tell me is they would have to submit a customer service ticket, and have it investigated. A technical support agent would call me back and they find out what the problem is, if any! The agent I spoke too, told me the echo is terrible, and he would not know how to tell me to fix it.
Does anyone have any problem along these line, and if so, is there anything I can do to resolve it?
....I asked the same question a week or so ago,....are you using a case? I am using an Otter...not sure if this is the problem or not! On your next call, switch to speakerphone,...and ask if there is still an echo! In my case it dissappeared,...Haven't had any complaints about it lately!

i am having the same problem people are hearing an echo on there end doesnt matter if its a land line or cell phone. i had the blue tooth turned on and i turned it off and the people didnt not hear the echo after that BUT then it came back i cant remember if i pulled the battery after the problem went away for that short time any help would be great
one reason can be if your useing a skin case on it. they have been causeing this issue. also hit the send button, blackberry button, options, gener options, default call volume, change to 50%, save.
I am having the same echo issue. The person at the other end of the conversation gets an echo when talking to me on my new 8350i. It does not matter if they are on a landline or a cell phone. I can't figure out the problem.
Same problem as well. I was in a Sprint store and asked about it and was told "...the cold weather effects their towers". I chuckled. I had a silicone skin on mine and removed it this morning. I'll know better if that was the culprit soon.
When I was in the Nextel owned store / repair center the woman at the counter asked me if I was having an echo problem with mine. She said that a lot of people were having the problem and the techs there had a fix for it.
As I'm not having the problem I didn't go into it any further with her but I would suggest you contact a Nextel / Sprint owned repair center.
I had this problem & saw on another thread that this was caused by your volume being set too high on the speaker, causing feedback into the microphone & amplifying the callers voice, so that they had a MAJOR echo............I turned down the volume a notch or 2 & VOILA, it stopped! Of course, the volume being down a little makes it hard to hear everything your caller is saying in a crowd or noisy environment, but............not too much of a biggie for me most of the time.....
Removing the silicone skin did it for me too which stinks because now I'm going to have a beat up looking phone as well as the fact that I wasted the money on the skin. eccch!

Thanks ....knock it down from 100% to %50 did the trick. I also have the thick silcone cover on and no echo

I know others have reported that a skin caused the issues but I find that a bit hard to believe.
Mainly because I used to have Nextel for many many years, and never owned a BB while with Nextel and I had echo many times over the years on the phones, some were worse than others and some had no echo at all, I think it is more with the iDen network and or the phone than the skin covering the phone
