Default Battery Life

Please Login to Remove!

Good morning/afternoon!

I just got my storm about 1 week ago from Bell Mobility. Thus far I love it - minor bugs that i am sure will be resolved via 3rd party apps and future software updates.

However, I have noticed a relatively pathetic Battery Life.

For instance - I charge the phone all night, make 1 15 minute phone call and receive 2-5 emails and reply to them all in the span of 1 hour. And I am down 1 or 2 bars on the battery life.

Usually by about 9pm the battery is almost on RED. I do not have any applications running in the backround - i do use msn and txt and email often - but the batterylife is potentialy half of what my Pearl had.

Anyone else suffering/experiencing this kind of issue?

I have seen this on a new bb (several models) when it is doing a lot of sync work in the background.

Usually during the first 24 hours after registering with a corporate BES. Much more so if the phone is in an area with a crappy signal. I've only had my 9530 for a couple of days - but I would take a general guess that the battery life will be a little less than an 8830

I've had my storm for only 3 weeks.

I could get maybe 1 hour of talk time before it died.

Verizon replaced my battery yesterday and the verizon clerk told me they had been having problems with the battery on the storm. FYI

Also remember to set the roaming from global to 1xev/cdma, ive read and seen and experience this myself that the battery life drasticall improves.
