So here is my question:

Before I updated the software on my Curve, I could put a string in the notes section of conference call reminder, such that all I had to do was open the event scroll down and click call "###"

This was helpful because I could make a call with just a few clicks while driving. I don't have the string handy, but it was something along the lines of 2125551212x12345#x1. The phone would dial (212) 555-1212, then wait for the line to pick up, dial 12345#, pause and then dial 1... voila! I would be in my conference call.

The problem is now the notes section will only let me add one x, which only pauses for two seconds, and starts counting when I hit send, so that the access code is sent before the conference call service even picks up and I have no way to key in the last "1" automatically.

Any thoughts on how to get my blackberry to play along?

Comma is for pause (",")

Under your Phone>options>Smart Dialing you should find a setting to adjust the length of the pause.

I don't have a "Smart Dialing" choice in the options menu... maybe this is only Sprint?

Also, "," does not seem to do it here either.

So, when you open the phone application like you are going to call somebody and you click the menu key, then choose "options" from the drop down menu you do not have an option called "Smart Dialing"?

I didn't realize that was carrier specific.
