Anyone else getting feedback when you use speaker phone? Advice?

i bought the standard bold once available on 11-4. i have not bought any special cover. my dad couldn't join my siblings and me for xmas this year, so on christmas day a total of four of us called dad on bold's speaker phone. all four of us talked, occasionally over each other, at the bold sitting in center of table serving as speakerphone with dad hundreds of miles away. the speakerphone worked almost as well as the hardwired unit on desk in my office, and there was zero feedback. i find the bold's speakerphone works almost or as well as former 8820, which seemed to me to have an excellent speakerphone function

Been many discussions about feedback ! Well its simply a defective MIC !
I have tried many firmwares and only 167 190 214 will cure the feedback since they lower the mic sensitivity! But again once i swapped my unit i was in heaven, perfect audio with every firmware, Its a defective BB !
