just an FYI

if anyone is wondering i just tried out blackberry alerts for this phone and it works well..

blue, red, purple, white, cyan, yellow, green, custom colours 1 2 3

I second that, I have it on my bold and I love it. I cab tell from looking on the device clear across the room if what I received was an email, sms, missed call ... Etc. At work I have the phone on vibrate so I couldn't assign different tones to different incomin alerts.

The pin indicator hasn't worked well on any device... I love this app and glad it works on the 8900!

I wish that as well but there hasn't been an update for BB alerts in a long time..
