I have explored this in the manual, FAQ's, and this forum. Either the question hasn't been asked before or (as is more likely), I can find the right search terms to cause the information to show up.

Question: How do I set my BBBold to auto-answer (after a fixed amount of time or number of rings) when I am paired to my JB2 HF headset?

The option is not available on the device its self. I pair my device with my stereo and the options are always on the audio sink (the device playing the audio). I don't believe you can tell your device to answer for you it has to be given the option to answer. I could be wrong but that is the way it is with my Pioneer deck.

Wait there is an Auto Answer option in phone (press talk button) > General Options this is for auto answer now wow I don't know why you would set that. It would answer every call when it is placed? I'm thinking that that will auto answer the call when it is removed from the holster if it is ringing though.

The JB2 (JawBone 2) headset is a phone only earpeice. All I am after is to have the phone automatically answer in a 2 rings (for example) to keep me having to dig the phone out of my pocket.

Don't you have an answer button on the ear piece? All Bluetooth head sets I have used have a button to answer and hangup. No need to dig at all for the phone.

The auto answer feature is indeed only for when taking out of the holster. That is the only option for it. When a call comes in you can have the phone answer if you remove it from a holster. Obviously, this has no effect if the phone is just in your pocket (unless you have it up against a magnet such as a money clip or something like that).

I agree, the button on the headset is the best choice so you don't have to get the phone out. The JawBone 2 definitely has this ability.

Agree, button Jawbone 2 will do the trick.

I had that feature on some Motorola phones in the past and it was very handy since I spend a lot of driving time. I could just listen to the phone ring for two rings and then it would automatically connect. No need to divert attention from steering wheel or road.
