When I uninstall my blackberry application I wan to delete some of the files which I created for the application.. eg: log file..

How can I do this?

I don't think this is possible. It is my understanding that the Blackberry installer cannot install any ancillary files (like configuration files, etc) - only the actual components of the application. It follows that the installer will not delete any files that are not components of the application. Otherwise you could create empty placeholder files that are installed, and would thus be removed when the application was uninstalled.

The proper method is to store persistent data in the object store, which is deleted when the COD file that created the persistent store is deleted.

I dont want to store any data in the file.

Actually I am creating a log file, which should be deleted when I uninstall the application.

I am creating is file when I am starting the application for the first time.

So you are creating an empty file and not writing to it? There must be some point in creating the file - something must access it at some point, otherwise it shouldn't be created at all. So instead of reading and writing to that file you should read and write to the object store instead. That's the proper way if you want your application to be cleaned up at uninstall.

I always include a menu option "remove all files", which deletes any artifacts (files, menu items, etc) and performs an orderly shutdown.

Once the program ends it can then be safely removed.

Actually the file I am using is a logfile for my application. When The application gets uninstalled, I want that file also to be deleted from the device.
