Is there an option to prevent automatic read receipts from being sent after a email is opened on the BB?

I’m currently using Outlook / Exchange, BES server and a 7730. When I receive an email using the Outlook client and the sender requests a read receipt, I have an option to deny the receipt request. When using the 7730 I don’t appear to have a way to see if the sender is requesting a receipt or an option to turn off the function of providing a read receipt. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

I'm no expert, but I was looking into the subject of read receipts to try to find a way to get read receipts from messages sent from the BB. Different to your needs but in my "read receipt" searching I didn't stumble across your problem

The read receipt cannot be generated by the Blackberry, only outlook. I personally can't stand them, as I read about 95% of my email on my Blackberry, and just do a bulk delete on my outlook (though I don't use bes). I set my outlook to never send reciepts, and if it's a "sensitive email", I just reply with "ok".

I used read reciepts in my line of work its a must thats way i know the people get the schedules or change orders I send out. No reciept I resend until I get one.

I would like to have the same options as I have on my Outlook client, with handling read / return mail receipts. But it appears the BB does not have this functionality.
