Default Does BBLight/other utilities slow down your rim?

Please Login to Remove!

I recently installed BBLight on my 7290 and feel it has become far slower than it once was.

Am I just imagining it or does it really hog resources?

For example, when I click send or open, etc in a menu, it might take 102 seconds for the menu to disappear once i click it.

Thanks.

Anything running in the background it another process or threat. It will require some of the processors attention as it calls on it, but I don't think something like BBLight will ask for much power. It will be negligable slow down on the processors part.

BTW, what is the processor speed of the 7250? Or any of the Blackberries for that matter?

great.. thanks for the replies.. my 7290 just seemed to slow to a crawl after installing some software.
I guess it was something else.

I have BBLight and love it, but every week or week and a half I have to delete it and reinstall it. It will make my blackberry constantly send/receive and drains my battery life. I am hoping somebody might have a resolution to this issue, but for now, I guess deleting and reinstalling is not that bad. Just annoying. BBToday does not seem to cause any issues except I'll sometimes get a bad DNS address for the weather. Odd.

I have a 7250 which is basically the same as the 7290, just different providers. BBlight has never slowed mine down or drained the battery. As a previous post to this question, what other app's are being run. The only thing I use and notice that draws more from the battery is using an IM program...otherwise no issue.

The 7250 and the 7290 are completely different architecturally. The 7250 uses a CDMA chipset and radio as opposed to the GSM chipset and radio, and has a different energy consumption model.

I run BBLight and PocketDay and notice no slowdown whatsoever.
