Default Keyboard Lock vs. Standby Mode

Please Login to Remove!

-Pushing the mute button (stand by mode)

-Using the Keyboard Lock (ICON)

Which do people prefer? Pros and cons to using one over the other?

mute only stops the keyboard presses. Someone could still access your BB. It's really for those that stick it in a pocket.

I press the "k" key to lock my keyboard. I never use standby.

Yeah don't use the standby too often.

After a week the button on my Bold broke. Had to send it in for warranty.

I guess it depends if you keep it password locked. I work in an environment where I have to keep it password locked so I never use standby.

Same here, I always standby and tell all customers to standby. Its just quicker and easier. Now if you want/need a password then standby if not for you!
