NEVER take your cord out.

Get JL-Cmder from the FAQs, follow the instructions and you will be fine.

Good luck.

If you have not, try this first: How do I wipe the BlackBerry using Jl Cmder? - BlackBerryFAQ

If that does not work, try this: What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ

Then load the new OS to your Curve.

Good luck.

On your PC hard drive, locate a program called "Javaloader.exe"

Open a DOS prompt and go to the location of javaloader

Make sure Desktop Manager is shut down.

Type

javaloader -u wipe (and press the Enter key)

from the DOS prompt

Find the My Computer icon on your desktop. Right click it and choose properties. It will tell you the operating system.

dos is what a computer was about 10 years ago... black and white text

if your bar onthe bottom is Blue and green, you have XP ... if its Black with the Circle windows on the left, its Vista

if its ugly, gray, and blocky, you need to get a new computer =P
