So about 5 days a go I intalled the latest OS for the 8120 from the stickeys on this forum and my phone now reboots like every 2 hours or so! The light flashes red then the screen goes white with a rotating hourglass for like 5 minutes! Can anyone help me?

If you have a media card, remove it and see how your device behaves.

yeah i do have one, but is there any way to fix it without leaving out my media card because i would like to keep all my songs and pictures on my phone and i cant wothout the media card.

Lets first see if it is the media card. Then we can look at reformatting it if necessary.

oh I already reformatted the card becuase it wouldnt let me record videos unless I did.

I had the same problem with my 8120 and it had nothing to do with my media card. It was something with 4.5.0.81 and 4.5.0.93 and the 8120. After I installed 4.5.0.102 it went away. What OS are you running?

It would probably be a good idea to update from .81. .81 and .93 were the OS's that were having issues involving reboots, dropped calls, and stuff of that sort. From what I've seen in the latest 8120 OS, version .102, people are reporting positive feedback as far as having no reboots. I downgraded to .55 and I am considering updating to .102. We'll have to wait and see though.

I had the exact same problem - tried all the suggestions found here without any result. Sent it back and got a replacement - no problems now!
