Default Calendar All Day Event Change on Firmware Upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

Hello All,
I am not sure if anyone else has had the same problems. It has happened twice to me when upgrading changing firmware.

I have been looking around and cannot find any reference.

Once I upgrade (this time it was from 4.6.0.147 to 4.6.0.162) my full day events in the calendar like birthdays holidays etc that I marked in now spread over 2 days. for example a friends bday is on the 8th October. now it shows full day events for both 7th and 8th.

The first time this happened I went through and manually fixed them all. the second time I upgraded to a beta by mistake and when I downgraded it fixed. It happened another time but I thought I found a place to just change the time zone or something and it fixed them all but I cannot seem to do that again..... ???

Any Ideas?

thanks once again.

Wirelessly posted (8320 Titanium)

That happened to me too, it changed my all day events to run from 4am - 4am so they spanned two days on my calendar...I just manually went in and changed them.

I have seen similar things happen with Windows mobile and Outlook. I am using Notes for my calendar. It doesn't happen to those all day events. Outlook always seemed to be the issue for me in the past.

Thankyou for the reply, It is just becoming a bit of a pain to move them manually because the bold firmware seems to be changing at a rapid pace.... I keep installing the latest hoping that little bugs like this will disappear.
Not to keen to install notes because I just forked out for office .... :D

Same here... I have loads of birthdays that I show as all-day events (from 0:00 to 0:00)... that get modifed to to start one hour earlier.. . resulting in the appointment spanning over two days from 23:00 to 23:00. Not fun when you've got about 80 appointments that are affected.

I have reviewed it carefully, but don't see the link. Am I msising a point?

Thanks

When you upgrade device software someitme the events get messed up. Just delete them off the BB then resync them with Outlook or what ever you use and they should be fixed.

I had this happen too, but it wasn't in connection to upgrading firmware. Is was in connection with upgrading hardware. Sounds like an Outlook/Exchange issue (I'm on BES).
