Default Calendar sync - different time in Outlook

Please Login to Remove!

After installing SP6 on BES, I have trouble with time in appt.:
  1. From Outlook to BB - time is corect
  2. From BB to Outlook - 1 hour difference

I think, that before upgrading was everything OK.

I am in GMT+1 (central Europe time zone) and I use E2k3 SP2 on W2k3 SP2. BES is 4.1.6 (bundle 30) on W2k3SP2.

Have you tried loading SP6 MR1 and see if that solves the issue? You might also check to see that your BES and Exchange servers are running the latest patches for Windows.

I am having the same problem. 4.1 SP6 MR1, Windows 2k3 SP2 & Exchange 2003 SP2 all patched. Outlook 2k3 SP3 all patched.

cdo.dll on BES and Exchange both version 6.5.7653.21

TimeZone = GMT+10 Australia - Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney

I believe this to be caused by daylight savings as it only happens between the 5th and 25th of October as our daylight savings was moved. After the 25th everything works correctly again.

Any help would be appreciated

You could try Update CDO TZ table for Canberra TZ (look at KB15702).

Unfortunatelly, MR1 doesn't solve this issue.
But skooter_15 is right. After 25th of October everything works correctly again.

Default Reg key on server again

I saw this in my environment as well. It's running 4.1 SP6 without MR1.

I re-applied the reg key again from the server DST in KB15058, and this seems to have fixed it.

It's strange that the 4.1 SP6 code isn't keeping the server up to date. I previously installed the reg keys as part of dealing with DST.

Thanks for that. Reapplied the Update_for_CDO_6.5.7653.21-6.5.7974.0.reg and now all is working perfectly. Thanks again.

A little strange that this isn't done with SP6 MR1 don't you think?

Basically, when DST occurs, you will need to update your CDO.dll from MS, your OS of your server, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and the devices as well.

This is because sometimes, different countries will declare it at a different time, like they will bring it forward or later.

I am having the same problem on our BPS 4.1.4 (Exchange 2007 SP1) (both with patches up to date).
I had a look at article KB15702 on RIM's site, however this is specifically for CDO.dll version 6.5.7653.21 through 6.5.7974.0, Outlook 2007 uses CDO.dll version 6.5.8039.0 on the BPS/BES.

Any thoughts? Will this Registry Update work?

Additionally this Calendar time issue is happening now, mid way through daylight savings.

OK it did work. Still not sure why there was an hour difference mid way through daylight savings, I would have thought this would have occurred towards the start or end when they shuffle the dates every year.
