I have a 7100t w/ tmobile bwc. Last night I started getting these weird WAP push messages w/ the title IM from AIM. When opened, the message contains a URL that when accessed directly gives 504 error. But sometimes a weird dialog box will pop up on my phone with Load, Postpone, Ignore as the choices. If I click add, it brings up some weird AIM page. I have not scene this before last night and I haven't installed any new software in a while. Wondering if anyone else has seen this. Thanks.

Sounds like a possible IM Phishing Scam or Virus loading website to me. I would be very careful about clicking on any link that came in an email, SMS or I'm message from an unknown source, even from my BlackBerry.

That's surely a possibility, but I would expect T-Mobile to be very obvious as to what it was and who it came from. I am extremely leery of any unexpected things like this. (Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.)

Hi i have same thing too, UGH!! i called T-Mobile they said i needed to upgrade and wipe out and start fresh. will that take care that BIG problem of the wap push and Im from Aim ???? any one got a true answer to this ????

I've been fighting this for months on about 6 devices that I manage, I've done the wipe thing and it still comes back.

I've even had T-Mobile turn of SMS on all of my devices to no avail, this push message keeps coming back.

I've spent numerous hours on the phone and continue to get nowhere. I'm now searching the web again and came across this post.

Has anyone found an answer to this?

I'm off to search more of the bbforums.
