I just got Mobipocket reader, and it's great, and free.

Mobipocket works great and will work with Palm eReader PDB files. But since upgrading to 4.5 my reader fails to recognize any ebooks and doesn't even recognize my memory card. I'm patiently waiting for an update.

Almost all ebooks seem to require conversion for this app.

It would be nice if there was one that could read the popular formats.

Mine is doing the same thing. We just have to wait on a update? If so that sucks.

Hey I believe you can convert *.LIT files using the following. I found this on the Mobipocket forum.

ConvertLIT GUI can be used to convert LIt files into html and opf files ... from there you can use mobipocket reader/creator to read the books

ConvertLIT GUI can be snagged from /dukelupus.pri.ee/convertlit.php

I believe the update has come out as I can now get Mobipocket to work -- and in fact all (both) of my books are on the memory card.

Which version of minipocket reader are you using on 8310? I can't get it to work. Just wants to keep reinstalling and rebooting 8310.

Thanks

Maybe it's just me, but I think MobiPocket books are a little expensive. I've been paying their prices for the ease of use and because reading their format on the BB is pretty comfortable. Are these other formats comfortable to read on the BB?

Also, I didn't know MobiPocket could open/read/work with eReader files! The Blackberry version of MobiPocket can do that? Or the desktop version?

I saw on eReader's site that they are hearing the blackberry community wants support and that they are looking into it. Of course, that might mean nothing...but at least they acknowledge knowing we are asking. But why would eReader need to come up with their own reader if MobiPocket can read their files already?

I must be misunderstanding something...(but will certainly look once I get home).
